St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Mobile, established as a parish by Bishop John L. May for the Archdiocese of Mobile in Tillman's Corner, celebrated their 25th anniversary. Fr. James Boland was founding pastor. Fr. Matthew J. O’Connor was serving as pastor for the 25th anniversary celebration.
Poet, novelist and short story writer Fred Chappell was selected as the inaugural speaker for the Charles J. Boyle Literary Lecture Series at Spring Hill College.
