Submitted by Jean Downing MOBILE — The second annual Magi Market will take place from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish's gym.
The shopping extravaganza will include gifts of inspiration that reflect the true meaning of Christmas, homemade goodies, festive gift baskets and hand-crafted Christmas ornaments. Teacher presents, special “happies” for dear friends and unique religious articles can all be found at the market.
The market will host 10 vendors selling specialty items that include sea glass jewelry, scented soy candles and spices, paintings and prints, homemade jams, jellies and syrups and more.
A no-extra-charge door prize drawing and Drawings for four 4-½ foot decorated Christmas trees and a handcrafted drift wood tree will also be held just before the event closes. Tickets for the tree drawings are $1 each and one does not need to be present to win.
A children's area for $3 will include face painting, ornament making and more.
A breakfast with Santa will be from 9:30-11 a.m. The breakfast will be cooked by the Knights of Columbus will include grits, eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, waffles, made-to-order omlettes and more. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 and under.
The Daughters of Mary will also host a café with water, tea, coffee and baked goods.
