Information courtesy of Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School Congratulations to Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School sixth-grader Justin Lee, who became the three-time Montgomery County Spelling Bee champion on Feb. 12. Justin successfully made it through 30 rounds of words, with the championship word being “bonsai.” Justin will represent Montgomery Catholic in the Alabama State Spelling Bee on March 16 at UAB’s University Hall. The Montgomery County Spelling Bee is sponsored by the Alabama District of Kiwanis International as a feeder for the renowned Scripps National Spelling Bee. Montgomery Catholic was represented by three students from each campus at the County Spelling Bee: Justin Lee, Addison Feely, and Claire Blanks.
