Submitted by Sam Genovese For The Catholic Week DOTHAN — The Knights of Columbus Council 6727 of Dothan held an installation ceremony of their new officers on Aug. 17. Held at St. Columba Parish, the evening featured chairs for the incoming officers arranged in the formation of a cross. Deacon Joe Mueller, chaplain, opened the evening with prayer. Acting District Deputy Jack Porter invested Incoming Grand Knight Bill Clements, Deputy Grand Knight Brad Novak (represented by Brad Baum), Recorder John Knapp, Treasurer Sam Emfinger, Advocate Juan Cepero, and Warden Martin Chandler. Inside Guard Robert Keyes was unable to attend. After each recited the oath of office, they presented a flower to their wives as a symbol of appreciation for their support.
