Christ the King's Schott wins 61st annual spelling bee

Congratulations to Brendan Schott, a sixth-grader at Christ the King Catholic School in Daphne, for winning the 61st annual Mobile/Baldwin Spelling Bee presented by the Department of Catholic Education on Jan. 25 at St. Pius X Parish. 
Brendan spelled “charioteer" in the championship round to win the title advance to the state finals March 16 in Birmingham. 
Kobe was one of nine spellers from Mobile and Baldwin Catholic schools who qualified for this year’s bee.
